Rebecca: Marriage & Family Therapist

(She/Hers)

About Rebecca, MFT, BCBA, (RCC Applicant)

Hi, I’m Rebecca. For more than 20 years, supporting neurodiverse children, and the families who love them, has been the heart of my work. I’m a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and a Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT), and I specialize in helping caregivers navigate the real, everyday challenges of raising neurodiverse kids.

I also provide BACB-compliant supervision to BCBA/BCaBA trainees and mentorship to practicing BCBAs, focused on caregiver support and family-systems work. I am category A on the RAS and an approved provider under B.C.’s Autism Funding (AFU).

Over the years I’ve witnessed the full spectrum of caregiver emotions, joy, worry, hope, exhaustion, and I’ve also seen how isolated many parents can feel. To offer deeper support, I expanded my practice beyond behaviour analysis to include family therapy, so caregivers have a place to be understood, resourced, and strengthened. I also work with individuals, couples, and families on a wide range of concerns, including but not limited to:

  • Understanding ADHD & autism in adults and children
  • Navigating life and relationships in a largely neurotypical world
  • Supporting individuals in thriving within a neurotypical world while honouring their strengths and unique way of being
  • Building communication skills and navigating conflict effectively
  • Stress Management

I have spent most of my career collaborating with other professionals such as Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Occupational Therapists (OTs). These collaborations have contributed to my flexible,  diverse, adaptable, and evidence-based approach to working with clients.  My practice is strength-based, non-judgmental,  neurodiversity-affirming and collaborative.

Therapy with me is a place to slow down and be curious together. As a family-systems-oriented behaviour analyst, I’ll ask thoughtful questions that help you look at your situation, your family dynamics, and how you want to show up in your life and relationships. Together, we’ll identify where things already align with your values, where they don’t, what’s getting in the way, and the doable steps you can take next.
